Headteacher's Newsletter, Term 2 Week 7: 2nd March 2018

Posted 2/3/2018

What a wintry and interesting week!

Firstly, thank you for your understanding this week, in what has been an unusual and challenging few days in terms of the adverse weather. Ultimately the safety of pupils, parents and staff alike has been central to decisions made. We were delighted to re-open today after our temporary closure.

A huge congratulations to Mr Cooper, Caretaker, and his ‘5 Star’ volunteer support team  (Mrs Hammond, Mrs Pemberton, Mrs Swash, Mrs Kingsley and Mrs Stones for clearing paths and making sure our site was safe for re-opening. We all really appreciate the time and effort!

We have rearranged our ‘World book day’ Character Dress up day for Friday the 16th March. Please get those costumes ready!

STAR Visit: Next week on Thursday 9th March we have two visiting Head teachers from partner STAR Alliance schools working with us. Mr Yapp and Mrs Young will be in school talking to pupils, leaders, governors and staff as well as observing lessons and looking at children’s work. You may see them on the playground at drop off or pick up, and they may approach you for comments and feedback.

Here’s to a calm and positive week ahead!

Thanks again for your support and understanding.

Kind Regards

Jon Watson
