Headteacher's Newsletter, Term 2 Week 3: 26th January 2018

Posted 26/1/2018

"Message from Mr Watson

It has been another successful week in school with lots of good things happening. I have enjoyed seeing Pluto class exploring outdoor areas, I’ve seen super writing and heard excellent reasoning and comments from Saturn class, and enjoyed seeing Venus class sharing their knowledge about the moon, sun and planets.

I had a fascinating trip to London last week with other head teacher colleagues from NYCC visiting some exemplary schools and discussing strategies that they use effectively to help their pupils make amazing progress.

Staffing Update

Mrs Mackintosh has been absent from school for the first three weeks of term – we miss her and hope to see her back fully fit and well very soon. Get well soon Mrs Mac!

Mrs Pierce has begun a period of absence today following an operation. On behalf of the whole school team (staff and pupils and wider school community) I extend our very best wishes, love and support for a full and speedy recovery. We are right with you Mrs Pierce!

As Neptune class parents are aware, Mrs Scott ends her current time in school with us next week.  I am extremely grateful for her passionate, enthusiastic and genuine approach to working with the children of our school."
