Bulletin 27th April 2018

Posted 27/4/2018

May the 4th be with you!

It is May already! How did that happen?

We are quickly approaching National Curriculum tests for Year 6 (KS2) and Year 2 (KS1) pupils; extra focus on super attendance, punctuality and all round health is extremely important.  Year 6 begin their tests on May 14th and Year 2 on the 21st May.

My week is school has been dominated by 2 main, and very diverse things….Dragon Days and Deputy Headteacher applications.

I am pleased to say that for our Deputy head position we have had such super interest. Within the last two weeks I enjoyed showing a good number of candidates around school. This week, with support of our School Improvement Adviser, and valued contributions from Mrs Snowden, Chair of Governors and Mrs Scrafton, School Business Manager, I have shortlisted. We look forward to the interviews next week and hopefully we will be able to make an appointment as a result. Exciting times!

Thanks to all of the Year 3 and 4 pupils who were fabulous this week in their ‘Dragon Days’ performance. Mr Brooks, ably supported by Miss Stafford, Mrs Swash and Mrs Pemberton did a super job. This was a mature and tricky production, and I think everyone concerned should be extremely proud of what they have achieved together, with hard work, determination and teamwork.  Well done Year 3 and 4! Thanks to everyone who attended and supported these performances.

Next week you will receive your clubs letter for the rest of the term ahead. The only clubs currently running are Doncaster Rovers (Tuesday), Mrs Stones baking club and Math’s club.

Continued best wishes to Mrs Pierce, who is greatly missed at school by the whole school team.

I wish you a happy Bank Holiday weekend.

Thanks for your continued interest and support of our school.
